Current Watering Restrictions
The City of Houston rescinded Stage One of the Drought Contingency Plan, effective May 29, 2024.
Due to the sustained increased rainfall and current reservoir levels the severe conditions leading to the implementation of Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan have been mitigated.
City of Houston water customers are reminded to continue everyday efforts to prevent the loss of water:
• Check for and repair all leaks, dripping faucets, and running toilets.
• Check sprinkler heads to make sure water is not spraying into the street or directly into storm drains.
