CIP Planning
Planning budget and projects for delivery during each fiscal year. This program coordinates between Transportation and Drainage Operations branches to plan for Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for a 2-year-ahead look.
Interagency
Representing the City as Owner’s Representative for partnership with external agencies on projects that impact City’s infrastructure.
Provide intake coordination and guidance to external agencies to facilitate reviews for planning, design, and construction projects with Houston Public Works.
Provide Design Concept Report (DCR) intake and coordination for projects initiated by TIRZ (Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone) and Management Districts.

Program/Project Outreach
Our Outreach Section’s main function is to serve as a liaison between all Transportation and Drainage Operations Service Line external agencies, and the public. Our goal is to share clear and consistent information about our rehabilitation programs, Council District Special Funds (CDSF) program and Project Delivery Branch projects.

Mapping
Create and maintain Geographical Information System (GIS) database for on-going projects that are within City of Houston right-of-way, including:
• TIRZ (Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone) projects
• Management District projects
• TxDOT, Harris County, METRO
• Street Rehabilitation
• Sidewalk
• Traffic Signal and Intersection Safety rebuild
